Human Resources (HR) diligently works to recruit, hire, train, and support our Gorman team as well as administer our competitive employee benefits. Accounting ensures fiscal integrity is maintained across the entire company and we uphold our timely financial agreements. Information Technology (IT) provides reliable service and connectivity for our nationwide company, from job sites to home offices, they provide the technical support with friendly and reliable accuracy. Marketing & Communications shares our Gorman stories, successes, and community revitalization efforts through collaborative media and community partner relationships. 


Human Resources

The Human Resources (HR) team at Gorman & Company provides exceptional service and support to all company team members. The HR team continually explores and implements innovative ideas to strategically improve processes.

We work collaboratively with leaders to source and hire qualified, skilled, and diverse team members. Through research, we implement competitive compensation and benefits packages for all team members and provide a positive, fun, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture!


Property Accounting works closely with Property Management to accurately record the day-to-day financial performance of the individual properties to ensure operations run smoothly.

Project Accounting facilitates the entire accounting process on a project working closely with our Project Manager to ensure we complete the development on time and on budget.

Corporate Accounting works with our investors and lenders facilitating financial audits as well as corporate taxation and treasury management. Our team enhances the overall stability and financial performance of our fully integrated platform.

Information Technology

The Information Technology team provides high quality, reliable, cost effective, secure, and seamless technology-based services to facilitate Gorman & Company in attaining its core purpose and values. We strive to offer friendly, timely, and knowledgeable support to all employees.


Marketing & Communications works cross-collaboratively with departments, markets, and our community partners to uncover opportunities to share the impactful stories of our team members, projects, and communities. We strive to uphold our core values in all we do through respectful communications, building valuable partnerships, and embracing the diversity that is Gorman. Creating and managing brand standards, as well as closely managing our assets, allow us to always strive to put our best foot forward. Our integral partnerships bring innovative ways to adeptly represent our brand and philosophy within our communities.

Michael Redman
Senior VP, CFO & COO

Mike supervises all aspects of the accounting department including oversight of the corporate budget process, tax preparation, and audit. His background includes various leadership roles such as CFO, Controller, and Vice President – Finance. Mike holds a degree from Upper Iowa University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the AICPA and WICPA.

Laurie Halzel
Vice President of Human Resources

Laurie is the Vice President of Human Resources and oversees talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits, team member relations, and payroll. She brings 25 years of diverse experience from industries such as long-term health care, hotel development & management, construction, executive training, and insurance. Laurie holds a BBA from Edgewood College and an HR Certificate from Madison College.

Rob Jaggi
Director of Project Accounting

Rob serves as Director of Construction Finance and Accounting across all markets. This role includes management of project sources and uses throughout its life cycle, liaison to our partners, as well as project cash flow and finance/accounting management.

Rob holds a BA and MBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin – Madison as well as a Wisconsin Real Estate Broker License.

Ben Kuepers
Director of IT

Ben is the Information Technology Manager, overseeing the personnel and operations in the Information Technology department. Prior to working at Gorman, he gained experience with a variety of technologies and industries working as a Madison Area business consultant. He holds a Telecommunication Systems degree from the University of Wisconsin – Stout.

Melissa Badini
Marketing Communications Strategist

Melissa crafts fresh, compelling storylines, uncovers opportunities to share Gorman’s successes and advancements, and builds and maintains brand standards and awareness through the creation and promotion of marketing and communications programs. She is a creative relationship builder perpetuating a positive, inclusive, and adaptive perspective for Gorman. She is a UW-Madison graduate.
